Meeting of Makers Exhibition

“Meeting of Makers, Merging of Space”, a group printmaking exhibition at The Jack Olson Gallery in the School of Art and Design at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, the school’s prime exhibition space. The exhibition is curated by Alex Bridges and Rachel Beer, currently second year MFA printmaking students and collaborators. The concept of this show is inspired by the curators’ interests in collaboration, installation, and nontraditional printmaking techniques. “Meeting of Makers, Merging of Space” brings together a select group of artists from across the nation that have informed our own studio practice and will demonstrate the importance of connection within the printmaking community. The artists we are inviting are Laura Berman, Marilee Salvator, Holly Wong, Nandini Chirimar, Lauren Kussro, Masha Ryskin, and Claire Whitehurst.

The exhibition will run from August 29th to October 27, 2022, with a tentative opening reception on September 1st.

I am so honored to be one of the seven artists included in this fantastic exhibition. I am totally inspired by all of the artists in the show and am incredibly greatful that I got to see the show in person in Dekalb. Huge thanks to Alex and and Rahel for including me! Also huge thanks to the gallery director Peter Van Ael. Photo credit to Alex and Rachel.
