Growth and Abundance

Solo exhibition at Harry Krug Gallery, Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS, March 6, 2024-April 5, 2024

At the core of my artistic practice lies a symbiotic dance with materials and the environment. Daily rituals, such as placing delicate Kozo papers in the sun and saturating them with homemade walnut inks, have become meditative processes capturing the unique record of evaporation and the sun's shifting rays. These stained papers, serving as both documentation and art medium, exhibit reticulation patterns characterized by their inherent unpredictability.

Huge thank you to James Oliver, Professor and Department Chair and Janet Kingman, Administrative Associate for all of their assistance and support to make this exhibition happen. I enjoyed meeting and working with all of the faculty and students within the Department of Art at Pittsburg State University!
